Juwan is Two!

Another wonderful and blessed year, our Juwan has turned 2!! This blog is a little overdue since Juwan's birthday is the end of February, but never less here are the pics from his wonderful day (days).  We had a birthday lunch at Monical's with Tati and then after supper we had some special cookies from a local bakery...yummy!  Then that weekend we celebrated with family.  Juwan loved his cupcakes and all the attention.  Mostly, I think he loved playing with his brothers and cousins.  I always marvel at the joy of families getting together to celebrate.  It doesn't matter that our house is small, everyone still manages to crowd in the kitchen to chat, eat, and celebrate!  God has richly blessed us with this little man.  Since it is Juwan's birthday blog I must take a moment to share some of his triumphs and sweetness with all.  He loves to sing.  Now, I know most kids love music especially at this age, but Juwan actually sings the songs, carries a tune, and gets most of the words right.  Lately, he has been singing "Jesus Loves Me," "Rockey Baby, bye o' bye," and of course his new favorite, "Happy Birthday."  Also, they must be singing in his Sunday school class, "If you're happy and you know it,"  because he always sings, the "shout Amen!" part.   Dancing is also another favorite; lately he's been loving a little Paul Simon's "Graceland."  In this CD there is a lot of African influence and he loves those parts especially, but what can I say, all the Davidson boys do, along with their mama.  Books are another passion of his.  We will be reading to him and he will be saying parts of the book with us.  Maybe all kids are this smart and precious, but boy oh boy he sure does seem so to us!  He loves Byron Barton's "Machines at work" to name just one of them.  Anyway, this is just a brief description of our  Juwany who continues to not only grow physically and mentally, but grows in our hearts taking up so much room that it is hard to imagine anything else could possibly fit in there sometimes!
yummy cookies!

mmmmm.....

I second that....

The candles were lit, but Juwan had been practicing so much blowing out candles that he gets a little over excited and blows them out straight away!
